Car #176 - 1970 Pontiac Firebird TransAm RAM Air IV. 112K miles (Exempt). See the Video! $110,000 (As advertised on the internet and elsewhere.)

 

(A) Overview: 112K miles but odometer does not work. (Exempt). Manual.(4 speed transmission). 2 door "sedan." Exterior is blue (medium blue factory color). Interior is blue similar to aquamarine (vinyl). Excellent condition, inside and out.

(B) Main features: 8 cylinders-V8, RAM Air IV (allow air into engine),RAM Air Iv is evidnced by WW Code on front of block and 722 stamped on head , rear wheel drive, power steering and power brakes, power windows, AM/FM radio, 17" alloy wheels, brushed aluminum on dash appears as carbon fiber look, dual exhaust, original spoiler, front air dam.

(C) Issues: None noted.

(D) VIN - 228870L107569. Mileage at 12/30/04 - Exempt (Actual reading is 111,895 at 12/30/04 but odometer and speedometer do not work.)

(E) Additional information from the owner (and dealer) Noel Reid:

This is a PHS documented car (Pontiac Historical Society as TransAm (including markings such as white striping).

Only 85 of these cars have been built. Car was manufactured in the California plant (indicated by L VIN) instead of the Ohio plant. Fully restored. 455 Horsepower with about 400 cubic inches. All interior items are original.
